Meiji - Chocolate and Potato (Japan) I first tried the Meiji Chocolate and Potato on my second day in Japan. It didn't seem strange since I frequently ate chocolate covered pretzels and had previously tried chocolate covered potato chips. The Meiji Chocolate and Potato was a no-frills snack that consisted of potato sticks (yes - the kind from school lunches), covered with a mild milk chocolate. While the first package I finished was great, the one I traveled home with tasted aged and the chocolate was dry. I'd buy for the novelty purchase alone, but I'm sure somebody would quickly eat these snacks. Company website: www.meiji.co.jp |
