Mochitto Choco (Japan) I tried a variety of mochi when I was in Japan so I had some idea what this snack could be. Mochi or mochitto is a candy or treat made from the primary ingredient of rice. Rice has an inherent sweetness, and is used in many asian snacks and treats. This chocolate rice treat even had a thin inner paper layer that was made of rice. This is also edible, and is supposed to be eaten with the choco mochitto. This treat was a bit thick for me. It tasted like a really thick chocolate fruit leather snack. The chocolate had a nice flavor, but I found the candy to be a bit too tough and chewy. It's definitely worth trying, but I'll stick to frozen mochi. |
