Nestle - KitKat Kinako (Japan) While wandering around Tokyo, you can find many amusement gaming centers with machines awarding candy as the prize. Although I wasn't able to get a few choice items, I was able to snag a few of the mini Kinako KitKats. Kinako is made from toasted soybeans, and is often found dusted over various Japanese style mochi treats. It's a bit wheat-like or nutty tasting, and since I couldn't read the writing and wasn't sure of the ingredient depicted on the wrapper, I originally thought this was wheat or barley flavored. The Kinako wafers combined with milk chocolate creates a crunchy and tasty variation of the standard KitKat. Company website: www.nestle.co.jp |
